The powder injection molding injection mold base is identical to the plastic injection mold base, and the mold base material can be selected by referring to the plastic injection mold base: generally, the moving template, fixed mold recovery, and push plate can be made of 45 steel, with a hardness of 180-250HBS after quenching and tempering treatment. Other sheet materials can be made of 45 steel or Q235 steel. For mold bases with particularly high precision requirements, all plates can be quenched and tempered with 45 steel, or even quenched with Cr12 type micro deformation mold steel. The guide pillar and guide sleeve can be hardened to 50-55HRC with T8A or carburized to 0.5-0.8mm thick with 20 steel, and hardened to 56-60HRC.
When the injection mold is working, it generally bears an alternating load of 20-50MPa, accompanied by alternating cold and hot temperatures. In ultra precision injection molding, the forming pressure used can even exceed several times the normal working pressure. The service life of injection molds is generally tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of times, so the molds should have sufficient strength and stiffness.
